It's all about me

I'm on my way to being 32 years old Jan. 3rd. No kids, have my own place, been on my job 9 1/2 years, got a vehicle. Very independent. Told endlessly that I'm beautiful. Thanks... ;-) Very spiritual w/ GOD in my life. Seeking to attend nursing school soon. I'ma obligated STAR. I'ma servant of GOD. Currently on a spirital walk w/ HIM. I'm seeking spiritual growth. As I want to minister to people. I was ordained a Deaconess on May 28, 2006. I date but I'm celibate. STOP right there: For those reading this is not a woman seeking man advertisement. None of that here. I'm simply giving my background so you can see where I'm coming from.

You've read my background not woman seeking man advertisement. lol... Guys question why a woman with so much going on for herself could be single. Heck I wonder 2. Well firstly I don't have tolerance for bullsh*t. My last relationship was 4 years ago and it was my longest (3 years). Once a cheat always a cheat there's no second chance. That last relationship taught me a lot. Including forgiving. Yes I wrote ole girl 4 years later while she was locked up in prison to let her know she was forgiven for helping ruin a 3 year relationship. And I thanked her for taking him away. Because I almost married the nut. whew glad I didn't. Forgiveness is part of the healing process. I learned that GOD places people in our life for different reasons. The turn out whether good or bad will strengthen you. Separating from Gerald in 2004 allowed me to be free. That's when GOD spoke to me.

So GOD called me. I heard HIM but didn't quite listen. HE called my name again louder. QUIANA. I heard HIM loud and clear in 2005. I heard my calling to go into ministry. I was ordained as a Deaconess of a south side Church. I was physically present but not spiritually ready. I was still satisfying the flesh. I wasn't ready. NOPE sure wasn't. I did my own thang. I just wasn't ready. That was it. I resigned as Deaconess. Yet my soul was hungering for spiritual growth. Whew 2006 was a crazy year. See when GOD tells you to do something ya better do it. The story of Jonah and the whale is among several examples of history if you disobey GOD.

You can't run or hide from GOD. HE knows what you will do before you think or do it. The year 2006 was rough. My father died Sept. 5th and my stepfather died Sept. 21st (mothers 2nd husband). I was having financial problems, landlord problems. Problems problems problems. satan was attacking me left and right. Why did I abandon my duties from GOD. I felt alone. Confused and lost. Humpf... I read my bible but didn't comprehend what I was reading. November 2006 life was getting lil better. An associate introduced me to the order of eastern. A STAR was born. I was a sistar. I was always curious about the order. I never knew any stars before my big debut. I only knew squares. I knew my sister boyfriend was a mason. I went to him. He asked me why did I want to join? Heck I didn't know. Until I knew I had to wait. Another square years later said read Matthew 7. Ask, seek, knock. I didn't understand @ first but now I understand what both were talking about. That was the beginning of my walk in the light.

If you ask a child who is in charge at home they would say their parents, if you ask who's in charge at school they would say their teachers & principal. There's a much bigger authority in charge of our life. Today my bible study lesson came from Psalm 2. King David spoke about how kings of other nations were raging against GOD & HIS anointed. The other kings had become big headed with the power they had. As they raged against GOD, HE sat upon the heavens laughing at their foolishness. Those kings fell to realize it was GOD who created the world and who brought them into existence. Because David would be the bloodline of JESUS he was GOD's anointed. GOD set David upon a hill of Zion. David was special. The LORD made a decree with David that all his enemies would be defeated. The inheritance of the rebellious nations would be his. As long as David feared the LORD & served HIM he would be blessed. David was wise he knew who was in charge of his life. There are leaders with authority everywhere.

There are people in authority everywhere. In our homes, schools, jobs, churches, even our country. We must remember who is ultimately in charge. Through GOD these leaders are placed. They are given power through GOD. If we fell to acknowledge GOD being in charged we will find ourselves being removed from a position given us. We will become powerless. GOD has all the power. GOD controls everything and everyone. Know who is in charge! HE is GOD

Can Christians have demons? (borrowed)

There are very few people who are totally owned or possessed by demons, but there are plenty of people opening doors to evil spirits through sin. Many Bible translations talk about people being “possessed” by demons when in reality that is not the meaning of the Greek word translated "possessed" in the Bible. The Greek word in these cases is “daimonizomai” which would be better translated “demonized”. It means to be affected by demons, to be under the influence of demons or to have demons. No doubt a Christian cannot be “possessed” by a demon because Christians belong to God through the blood of Jesus Christ. Whether a real Christian can have a demon is a controversial question to some but for those of us who have been set free from demons after we gave our lives to Jesus it is not so hard to determine. Let us now consider this matter from a biblical point of view.

Without a doubt, demons are at work in the sons of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2). The truth is, people who are disobeying God are giving evil spirits a right to work not only around them but also in them. This applies also to church members. Peter declared that Satan had filled the heart of Ananias. All Ananias did was pretend that he was giving to God more than he really was. Therefore, anyone who is lying could have their heart filled by Satan.

Paul told the believers in Ephesus: “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27). This implies that it is possible for a Christian to give place to the devil. There is strong biblical evidence that a Christian doing this will later need deliverance from evil spirits, because they have by their own choices given ground to Satan.

Although the spirit of a born again Christian is regenerated, recreated and not possessable by evil spirits, the salvation of the soul is a process which is not automatic and requires firstly persistent faith in God, and secondly, knowledge of the truth. It is clear that evil spirits do have access to our minds to inject thoughts of all kinds from time to time. We must be watchful so that we do not accept these thoughts so as to let the evil one build strongholds in our mind that are not pleasing to God. There is a battle for the mind of every Christian. In order to keep demons out of our minds, we must fill our minds with something else. We must be full of the Holy Spirit and full of the Word.

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to MY HOUSE from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it EMPTY, swept, and put in order. Then he goes out and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” (Matthew 12:43- 45)

Every unsaved man is a child of the devil and being a son of disobedience it is a fact that evil spirits are at work in him, If those spirits are forced to leave - either by the fact that the person receives Christ or the Word of God, or by a special operation of the Holy Spirit, they will do exactly what Jesus said they would do in the passage mentioned above. If indeed after the evil spirit goes out, the person’s life remains empty - that is, not full of God’s Word and God’s spirit, there will be a possibility for that evil spirit to enter into that man again - even if he has prayed to receive Christ. Why? Because although he may have confessed Christ, by ignorance or disobedience he denied Christ the first place in his life. He didn’t put the Word first, and he didn’t get really filled with the spirit. Therefore demons can be in Christians, as we know them.

Demons can’t stay in anyone who consistently submits to God and resists the devil. (James 4:7). The devil and all demons must flee from such a person. Such a Christian who is submitting to God in this way is not grieving the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). Therefore the Holy Spirit is making sure that no demon remains in the temple of God. Such a person is “keeping themselves, and the evil one touches him not” (1 John 5:18).

The Old Testament is full of examples given for our present day instruction (Romans 15:4), which contain principles of spiritual warfare and help us to see that even the temple of God can be defiled if God’s people are disobedient and break the covenant. In the book of Ezekiel we see how the priests of God were idolatrous and unclean things were in the temple of God (Ezekiel 8:6-17). This is the picture of the Christian who tolerates various forms of idolatry in his or her life. It was not until Ezekiel 10 that the glory of God, the Holy Spirit - left the temple. This shows us that the Holy Spirit can be in the temple at the same time as abominations - but that eventually if idolatry persists the Holy Spirit will leave and the judgment of God will come.

Another example which illustrates how Christians can need deliverance is in the history of Israel’s wars, especially in the period of the judges. Every time the people of God broke the covenant and worshipped foreign gods, the Lord God sent their enemies to invade the promised land and cause them trouble. In the same way, when Christians break their covenant with God through persistent sin, inevitably the demons will come to take what has been surrendered to them. It is vital therefore that we respect the conditions of the blood covenant we have with God and give no place to the devil through sin and disobedience.

Jesus cast demons not only out of people with legions of evil spirits (Mark 5:8-9) but also out of people who were not affected by demons to anything like that extent (Mark 1:32-34, 39). The people being delivered were orthodox religious Jews - not satan-worshipping idolatrous heathen - or their modern day equivalent - drug- abusing sexually-immoral heavy rockers into witchcraft and violence. In the same way, lots of ordinary religious people need deliverance from evil spirits - evil spirits which are producing conditions such as fear, doubt, condemnation and sickness in them.

From reading the gospels we can see that Jesus cast out of people spirits which were responsible for the causing of diseases. One time a man brought his son to the disciples of Jesus. He wanted them to cast the mute spirit out of him. The disciples were not able to do it because of their unbelief (Mark 9:19) and lack of prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). But when Jesus came, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter him no more!” (Mark 9:25). Here we see that deafness and dumbness can be caused by the presence of an evil spirit, which must come out. The spirit was in there and Jesus told it to get out. In His healing ministry, Jesus first cast out the evil spirit responsible for creating the disease in the person before He applied the power of the Holy Spirit to their bodies to restore the damage (Matthew 4:23; Matthew 8:16,17; Matthew 9:32-34; Matthew 12:22; Matthew 17:18; Mark 1:34; Luke 4:40,41; Luke 6:17-19; Luke 8:2; Luke 9:42; Luke 18:11-16). And Jesus, knowing that mankind would always need this kind of ministry until the full inauguration of the kingdom of God on earth gave the same power and authority to His disciples to cast out demons and heal the sick by the Spirit of God as He Himself did (Matthew 10:1-2; Mark 3:14,15). This power was given to the church in the name of Jesus, and like the baptism in the Holy Spirit, was never withdrawn by God (John 14:12; Mark 16:17,18). So we as disciples are called to drive out demons just as Jesus did.

The connection between casting out demons and healing the sick should come as no surprise to those familiar with Acts 10:38, which says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” This passage shows clearly that sickness is the work of the devil, not a work of God. That is why Jesus opposed sickness and cast out spirits of infirmity wherever He went. It is possible that many chronically sick Christians in fact need deliverance from spirits of infirmity just as that bent up woman did in Luke 13:11, named by Jesus, “a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound”. Jesus did not call every Jew a child of Abraham - see John 8:39,40. Even God’s children can be bound by Satan in various areas. Jesus came to set us free. Instead of making theological excuses - calling sickness God’s blessing or just closing our eyes and saying that God’s children cannot have demons, we should be as practical as Jesus and treat spirit-based infirmities as our enemies and cast them out - just as Jesus did.

Someone may object that God has given us promises of redemption in the new covenant so that we need not fear the possibility that there could be a demon in us as Christians. In any case we should not fear. The only fear we should have is a healthy fear of God. The reality is, though, God has promised lots of things which many born-again Christians are not experiencing. Why? Because of a lack of repentance, faith and appropriate confession! God has promised healing and the baptism in the Spirit to His children. But how many Christians have until now failed to appropriate God’s provision in this matter? In the same way, many Christians, through disobedience, ignorance, pride or unbelief have failed to appropriate God’s promises in regards to deliverance from evil spirits. Having a theology that says we are free from evil spirits just can’t compare in value to actually being free of their indwelling influence.

Jesus in Matthew 15:26 calls deliverance from evil spirits “the children’s bread”. So deliverance from evil spirits is for the children of God! It is not primarily for the unrepentant or unbelieving, since if they get delivered and don’t repent it is quite likely that they will end up worse than before! (Matthew 12:43- 45).

Jesus taught his disciples to pray in the Lord’s prayer, literally, “Deliver us from the evil one”. Who should pray for deliverance from evil spirits? Disciples! Whose deliverance should they pray for? For their own! Even the apostle Peter was used as a mouthpiece for Satan one time (Matthew 16:22,23). This is still happening today occasionally even through born again Christians who are ignorant of God’s total plan.

Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:32). It is time for all believers everywhere to know the truth and through the truth get free of the indwelling power of sin in their lives. It is not time for religious excuses such as the Jews of Jesus’ day made, such as: “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves to anyone. How can you say, ‘You will be made free.’ “ (John 8:33) We need to be made free indeed by Jesus, not theologically free or ‘free’ because we have a doctrine that tells us we are free, while our own lives lack the promised peace, love, joy and power of God.

So we see that disciples must pray for deliverance, must cast out demons (Mark 16:18), and as children of God, need the children’s bread of healing and deliverance. May the Lord “deliver us from the evil one.”

The Difference Between “the Flesh” and Demons

We cannot blame all our problems on the devil and demons however. Many times it is simply a lack of application of the cross of Christ to the adamic nature at work within us. As new men in Christ, we must take authority over the adamic nature as well as any demons in order to get the victory over sin and self.

The apostle Paul in many places in the New Testament speaks of “the flesh” as being something at work in Christians that is striving against the leading of the Spirit of God.

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these things are contrary to one another, so that you may not do the things that you wish.” (Galatians 5:16,17)

Paul uses the Greek word “sarx” which means literally “flesh” or “meat”. Some Bible translations translate this as “the sinful nature”. When Paul speaks of the flesh he is usually not talking about our physical bodies, but something at work in our physical bodies which is working in opposition to the will of God. It is the old Adamic nature inherited through the fall. It has desires which run contrary to those of the Holy Spirit and indeed to our new regenerated spirits. It thinks and desires in accordance with the values of the world system that we knew and followed before we became disciples of Christ. Some of its works are listed in Galatians 5:19-21. The works of the flesh are not only unlawful physical indulgences but are also soulish and spiritual in nature. For example, hatred, contentions, heresies are listed as works of the flesh. A lot of the programming that governs our behaviour and responses comes into the category of “the flesh” also. There can be demons associated with these things but by the Spirit we can have the total victory.

God’s solution for the flesh is crucifixion. “Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:24). This Scripture teaches us that we are the ones who must crucify the flesh. This is done by the Spirit - “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit YOU put to death the deeds of the body you will live.” (Romans 8:13). Realise that it is we ourselves who, wanting to follow Jesus, must “deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him” (Luke 9:23). We must reckon ourselves dead indeed to sin (Romans 6:11), discipline ourselves, say no to ourselves and not avoid the pains that come to those who consistently seek to do the will of God in all things. Deliverance is no substitute for making these daily decisions to put down the flesh and follow the Spirit. You cannot cast out the flesh, you must crucify it.

On the other hand, self-discipline and reckoning oneself dead to sin and alive to God, for all its importance, may not be the total solution for our sanctification. There are demons that can be at work in Christians, fixing themselves as it were in “the flesh” and fortifying “the flesh”. These demons, unlike the flesh can’t be crucified. We can’t kill demons either. They must be cast out. A general rule is: if despite self-discipline and meditation on the Word a spiritual problem of some sort fails to be resolved, it is almost certainly a case requiring deliverance from evil spirits. Many times sincere Christians are using a lot of energy suppressing tendencies that are due to demons which could be cast out and should be cast out. We have seen in the previous section that it is possible for Christians to have one or more demons. Multitudes of sincere Christians baptised in the Holy Spirit can and do testify to this reality today. Therefore if despite all measures taken to deny self and crucify the flesh the victory is not received, certain steps should be taken to get free of evil spirits.

My Heavely Call

It amazes me how some believe women shouldn't take roles as Pastors. To my understanding Timothy 1 of the writers of the New Testament of the bible advised that women not take leadership roles in the Church. According 2 Scriptures the bible was written by man but inspired by GOD. I believe that 2 be true. But I also believe that somewhere along the years of the bible's existence it was revised 2 fit the needs of those in authority particularly men. I honestly believe so. Only those who have truly been called by GOD knows what I mean. Of course I am 1 of those who received a heavenly call. Any1 who personally knows Quiana aka: Qui~Qui fka: Diamond knows the life I use 2 live. See, you all are seeing the new me. The woman called by GOD who is now Focused On GOD's Ministries. If I had a choice I wouldn't have chosen 2 take on such a role. But because I know I am 1 of GOD's chosen I am more than willing 2 be obedient. I refuse 2 refuse GOD's order. By coincident I was sent 2 a church led by a woman.

My Pastor is a great inspiration 4 my life. GOD knew exactly what I needed. My Pastor is true motivation. I teach bible study & Sunday School. It's unbelievable how my life has changed around as the LORD is molding & shaping my life 4 HIS WILL. My mom who is a Buddhist even sees the change in me. Raised in a Christian surrounding she converted 2 Buddhist 9 years ago when she received no satisfication from Christianity. At first she use 2 try 2 convert me 2 Buddhist. But now she has hope in my Christian walk. She pushes my faith not becuz I'm her daughter but becuz she knows what GOD has in store 4 me

Today was my turn to teach on the bible study prayer line. The bible reference is found in Revelation 22:14. I grew up in a spiritual household. My mom had each of her 4 daughters sit in a circle 4 prayer time. We attended Church service regularly. Mom even sent all her girls to Catholic skool. 1996 I got baptized and accepted CHRIST at the age of 18. Being so young I had a long way to go in my spiritual growth. At that age I wasn't thinking about nothing but having fun. In 2005 or 2006 (sad I can't remember) I received my calling for Church leadership. I approached my Pastor showing interest. We met several months for training classes. Months later I was ordained a Deaconess (female Deacon). In 2007 I gave my Pastor a letter of resignation. I felt I was not spiritually mature to take on such a role. I was still living a life of partying and satisfying the flesh. I left that Church & just drifted from Church 2 Church. I prayed for GOD to lead me to a Church I could grow with and make my home.

Jan. 2008 GOD led me to More Like CHRIST Christian Fellowship Church. GOD answered my prayer blessing me a Church home. GOD knew what I needed for my spiritual growth. 1 year later I'm teaching bible study, 1 year later I'm teaching Sunday Skool to the youngins, 1 year later I'm singing as a soprano in the choir. 1 year later I am More Like CHRIST. I look back over my life, where I came from. The seed my mother planted years ago is sprouting fruitfully. It took a long time for the growth but it's all coming together for the glory of GOD. Throughout the years I found myself making mistakes in my Christian walk. Good news is that GOD is in the cleaning business. It is good to know that HE will cleanse us of our unrighteousness, allowing us to come back to HIM. We can't keep making the same mistakes. When we repent we must make a 180 degree turn away from the sin. Never going back. We as Christians have 2 set good examples for the unbelievers. We're not going to win souls if our behavior is the same as others.

Victory

I'm blessed shouted from my mouth as I sit here. Tears of joy falling down my face as I thank GOD for all HE has done for me. From the smallest to the largest things in my life. I look at all I have and I am truly blessed. satan has really been tryna attack my life. I admit he has been doing a darn good job. I cry to GOD to protect me from satan (enemy). I am a child of GOD. I know my identity. The things I take for granted I can easily lose. I lost friends, time and energy because I allowed myself to slip away from GOD guidance. I come to realize I am still blessed. I have GOD in my life, an apartment, car most of all life, health and strength. Mistakes were made lessons were learned. Praise GOD for HIS forgiveness, mercy & grace. My motto is Focused on GOD. It is also a ministry GOD blessed me with many years ago. I am blessed NO matter what I go through in life. I look back at my life where I was what I didn't have. Today I proclaim victory once more.

Today was my day to teach bible study & pray. My lesson was on Distractions which was great timing because it is lent season & there will be many distractions as we are obedient to FATHER. Scriptures cam from the book of Deuteronomy 2:26~30. The Israelites were left to dwell in the wilderness because of their faithless attitude toward GOD. A journey that was to last only 11 days lasted 40 years. It was not because they were lost. It was simply because they didn't trust GOD. GOD made them dwell until the old generation died off. Moses was a faithful servant to GOD but he made some mistakes causing him to not being able to enter the promiseland as well. That's another lesson to be learned. During their exodus they had to pass through the land of their enemies. GOD ordered them to keep the peace. Just pass through neither turn to your right or your left. Stay on a straight path. Unless you are hungry then you may buy food or water. The Israelites were warriors. Their enemies feared them because of GOD's power.

No one dared to fight the Israelites unless necessary. There was a distraction during their journey. Moses knew he has to pass through the land of King Sihon (known as the Kingshighway). Moses sent messengers warning the king of their journey. In order to pass through GOD had to hardened the kings heart so the Israelites could easily defeat them. The Israelites eventually defeats King Sihon and his army. And were able to pass through the land. The lesson today is there will be distractions in life but we must learn to depend only on GOD not ourselves. GOD has already cleared the path for us. We must trust and believe in HIM. HE will deliver us.

1 door shuts, another opens

When one door closes, let it slam shut. Don't try to wiggle the knob to open it. Everything happens for a reason. Every door that slam shut means GOD is opening new possibilities for ya. Watch out now for that new door. It will be a spectacular moment needing a grand opening celebration. Everything happening in my life is for a reason. Praise GOD it's my season. GOD had to push close some doors to allow the grand entrance of my new blessings. ha I feel you LORD moving in my life. I won't be like Lot's wife (she turned into a pillar of salt) because she looked back. GOD told me to move forward. Great joy I receive knowing one door was slammed shut for my grand opening of the new door of opportunity. Praise GOD 4 HIS promises.

Sex, love, commitment, beauty, problems

Sex is GOD's gift to HIS creatures. HE endorses sex, but restricts its expression to those committed to each other in marriage. GOD wants sex to be motivated by love and commitment, not lust. It is for mutual pleasure, not selfish enjoyment. Because love is such a powerful expression of feeling and commitment between two people, it is not to be regarded casually. We are not to manipulate others into loving us and love should not be prematurely encouraged in a relationship. While romance keeps a marriage interesting, commitment keeps romance from dwindling away. The decision to commit yourself to your spouse alone begins at the marriage altar. It must be maintained day by day. The two lovers praise the beauty they see in each other. Our praise should not be limited to physical beauty; beautiful personality and moral purity should also be praised. Look for the qualities that don't fade with time~ spiritual commitment, integrity, sensitivity and sincerity.

Over time, feelings of loneliness, indifference and isolation may come about. During these times love can grow cold and barriers may be raised. Through careful communication, lovers can reconciled, commitment can be renewed and romance refreshed. Don't let walls come between you and your partner. Take care of problems while they are still small. (from the Life Application study bible) Man/woman marriages are honored by GOD. Any other marriages performed is man made. And will not be honored by GOD.

This morning was my day to teach bible study on the prayer line. I taught from the book of Lamentations chapter 5. As I told the ladies on the prayer line, as long as I been a Christian I've never bothered to open the book of Lamentations. As short as the book is only 5 chapters. I just didn't bother. As I walk closer with GOD I'm opening up my bible to new knowledge within it. Praise GOD 4 HIS WORD. Jeremiah the author of Lamentations also the author of the book of Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet. He had a very close relationship to GOD. When GOD was upset Jeremiah felt GOD's pain. Because the children of Israel were wicked and full of sin. GOD sent Jeremiah to warn them that they needed to turn away from their sin. GOD who had created them, loved them and blessed them time after time again. Jeremiah felt sorrow. In Lamentations 5 he pleaded with GOD to forgive them of their sins. In doing so GOD would show mercy on them if the people repented. Restoring them making them new.

We all sin and have come short of the glory of GOD. There is none righteous no not one. We sin in thought and action. It is highly important for us to repent our sins (ask for forgiveness). When you know you've done wrong ask GOD 2 forgive you. Thank GOD for his grace and mercy. Also remember GOD knows your heart. HE knows if you are truly sorry for being disobedient. You cannot fool GOD. When you repent you must utter the words as well as show action. By turning away from your old ways. Ask GOD to order your steps in HIS WORD. And HE shall restore you making you a new creation. A changed man or woman. Live for GOD and HE shall give you the desires of your heart.

Today was my day to teach bible study. My scripture reference came from Isaiah 1:12~17. Through the prophet Isaiah the LORD called for the nations of Israel and Judah to repent. Full of wickedness they continued to give sacrifices and offerings to the LORD. The LORD was not pleased with them. HE knew their hearts were corrupt. HE knew their intentions were bogus. Therefore the LORD detested their gifts. Good news is that the LORD offered them a chance to be cleansed of their iniquities. Because of HIS goodness & mercy they would be forgiveness if they devote themselves to the LORD. If only the two nations would turn from their wickedness and trust GOD they would be renewed. I love the scripture that says GOD is the same today, tomorrow and yesterday. The same promise to cleanse us of our sins applies to GOD's people this present day. The difference is back in Isaiah's day the Church wasn't formed yet. There were no baptisms. But they were still given a second chance to be refreshed and renew.

2day we are offered salvation through baptism & by accepting JESUS, believing in our hearts that GOD raised HIM from the dead & confessing w/ our mouths that HE is LORD. GOD has made life simple 4 us. We have 2 STOP taking advantage of HIS goodness & mercy. We continue 2 half step in our devotation 2 GOD. GOD wants our full attention. HE wants us 2 turn from our wickedness. GOD made us so HE knows our hearts. HE knows when we are truly sorry 4 sinning. It takes actions as well. Once we confess our sins we must TURN away from those sins. There is no one that is without sin. Never believe a person when they say they are sinless cause they are lying 2 themselves & GOD especially. Heck I even sin, but I know 2 repent & turn away from the wickedness. GOD is still working on me. I slip up every now & then. We all have & will. But it's good 2 know our FATHER is merciful. Adults ought 2 know whether their actions are wicked or not. If you don't know go in2 prayer & ask GOD 4 wisdom & read your bible as well.

My son, pay attention 2 my wisdom; listen carefully 2 my wise counsel. Then you will show discernment & your lips will express what you've learned. 4 the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey & her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end she is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a doubled edged sword. Her feet go down 2 death; her steps lead straight 2 the grave. 4 she cares nothing about the path 2 life. She staggers down a crooked trail & doesn't realize it. So now, my sons, listen 2 me. Never stray from what I am about 2 say: Stay away from her! Don't go near the door of her house! If you do, you will lose your honor & will lose 2 merciless people all have achieved. Strangers will consume your wealth & some1 else will enjoy the fruit of your labor. In the end you will groan in anguish when disease consumes your body. You will say, How I hated dscipline! If only I had not ignored all the warnings! Proverbs 5:1~12

Oh, why didn't I listen 2 my teachers? Why didn't I pay attention 2 my instructors? I have come 2 the brink of utter ruin & now I must face public disgrace. Drink water from your own well, share your love only with your wife. Why spill the water of your springs in the streets having sex with just any1? You should reserve it 4 yourselves. Never share it with strangers. Let your wife be a fountain of blessings 4 you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love. Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman? 4 the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch & hold him. He will die 4 lack of self control; he will lost because of his great foolishness. Proverbs 5:13~23

Yesterday was my appointed day to teach on the bible study prayer line. My Pastor listened in on us and heard me teach for the first time. She stated how proud she was of me. My growth in CHRIST is showing much improvement. My lesson was reference to Isaiah 40:25~31. In this chapter/verses one of the main points is that there is none compared to the HOLY ONE, the ALMIGHTY GOD, our LORD and SAVIOR. HE is responsible for creation of life. Humans, animals, trees, stars, moon etc. All existence exist because of GOD. All things beautiful GOD has made with HIS hands. Humans created in the image of GOD. Animals being cared for are just as important as humans being cared for. Matthew 6:25~26 reminds us not to be concerned with what we will eat, wear etc etc. Scriptures says why be concerned?! Haven't you realized how important you are?! Look at the birds in the air, look at the flowers surrounding you. They eat and are well cared for. It is GOD who supply food for the birds.

And it is GOD who supply the rain and sunshine for the trees and flowers surrounding us. GOD very much loves us humans and will supply all our needs. Sometimes life storms move their way toward us. It can hit us so hard destroying us mentally, sometimes physically. Scripture says the young will become weak and weary unable to move. Even the strong will lose strength during life storms. Second main point in this scripture is the eagle. It's strength and ability to withstand nature storms. When eagles see storms approaching they physically prepare themselves. They have much bravery that they move toward it. It causes the eagle to fly even higher. Above natures storm. Scriptures says when life storms hit the lives of those who trust the LORD they will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. I (Quiana) told the storm in my life that my GOD is bigger then it will ever be. I'm telling you to tell that storm the same.

Don't allow yourself to be pulled down by the heaviness of the storms in your life. Remember it's temporary. The storm will soon pass you. During storms continue to give GOD praises. Remember the eagle. Mount up your wings and soar above the storm. Trust GOD, hide HIS WORD in your heart. Pray continually and you will be alright

Life's situation sometimes causes us go feel depressed. It could be our monthly bills, our jobs, relationships or even the sliding economy. Not only that we find ourselves dwelling on the past. Our minds sometimes dwift on what we didn't do right in our past. Listen Quiana is speaking from experience. I'm just not typing this. I'm speaking truth. My mind would think long and hard on mistakes. Talk about bills. Same thing I would be scared to death if my bills didn't get paid on time. Talk about relationships. My mind would especially look back and I would think what did I DO WRONG? Uh oh here comes the lonely feelings, the abandonment from friends/family. I would cry my eyes dry during my lonely pity party. Asking LORD why have you left me. LORD when is my husband coming. LORD don't allow debtors to harass me. LORD why me, why me? After all that crying and sleeping I got up and felt better. But it would happen again and again. I would find myself having another pity party.

I'm what folx call a baby Christian. I know a lot but every day I'm still learning. I continue to grow in my faith. I had a talk with my Pastor and she prayed for me. She told me GOD doesn't want to hear my problems (pity parties), HE wants to hear my PRAISES. I finally realized where I was going wrong in life. I fell into satan's trap boo hooing my eyes out to the LORD. Feeling sorry for myself. Wondering why GOD had abandoned me. Pastor words hit me like a brick. So now I find myself singing songs of praises and dancing to the LORD/JESUS. Of course satan tries to creep into my mind cluttering my brain with thoughts of the past/debts. Everytime my mind gets ready to drift away from GOD promises I start singing praises. I'm telling you today stop your pity parties. I ended mine knowing GOD is faithful. It's party time, praise dance if you will, stomp satan in the head, sing songs of praise, block out negative thoughts. Shout HALLELUJAH somebody and enjoy life. :-}

Proverbs 31:10-31

Who can find a virtuous & capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her & she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She finds wool & flax & busily spins it. She is a merchant's ship, bringing her food from afar. She gets up b~4 dawn 2 prepare breakfast 4 her household & plan the day's work 4 her servant girls. She goes 2 inspect a field & buys it; w/ her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energic & strong, a hard worker. She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns later in2 the night. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. She extends a helping hand 2 the poor & opens her arms 2 help the needy. She has no fear of winter 4 her household, 4 every1 has warm clothes. She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen & purple gowns. Her husband is well known @ the city gates, where he sits w/ the other civic leaders. She makes belted linen garments & sashes 2 sell 2 the merchants.

She is clothed w/ strength & dignity & she laughs w/o fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise & she gives instructions w/ kindness. She carefully watches everything in her househould & suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand & bless her. Her husband praises her. THERE ARE MANY VIRTUOUS & CAPABLE WOMEN IN THE WORLD, BUT YOU SURPASS THEM ALL! Charm is deceptive & beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her 4 all she has done. Let her deeds publicy declare her praise.

I asked GOD what is it you want me to talk about today. Minutes later my spirit said sleeping with the enemy. Had I not remembered a story my sister told me last year I would've been like what does that mean (sleeping with the enemy). My sister friend received a prophecy that she would soon meet her potential husband. But in order to do so she would need to stop sleeping with the enemy. In other words stop fornicating and practice celibacy. Fornication wasn't a word I was all too happy with. Well at least I would avoid bible scriptures that said fornication. That was the old Quiana. The new Quiana is all too proud to admit she is celibate until marriage. LORD knows I been struggling with my flesh. With the power of GOD I am obedient. Scriptures says we have to present ourselves holy and acceptable to the LORD. And besides I know great things are in store for me. GOD promised my celibacy will not be in vain. HE promised HE's going to bless me with a husband who will as well be celibate.

You're sleeping with the enemy if you're unmarried and engaging in sexual acts (boyfriend/girlfriend). You're sleeping with the enemy if you're cheating on your spouse. You're sleeping with the enemy if you are engaged in homosexual acts. You're sleeping with the enemy even if you're sexually involved while engaged because you are still in the premarital stage. Leviticus 18 speaks of forbidden sexual practices. Even lustful thoughts is considered sinning. I Corinthians 6:18~20 says Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT, who lives in you and was given to you by GOD? You do not belong to yourself, for GOD bought you with a high price. So you must honor GOD with your body. I Corinthians 7:1~2 says Now regarding the questions you asked in your letter. Yes, it is good to live a celibate life.

But because there is so much sexual immorality each man should have his own wife and each woman should have her own husband. The whole chapter 7 of I Corinthians speaks of marriage. I'll get back to that another time. Consider what the WORD of GOD is saying. It speaks the truth. It's full of wisdom. Are you sleeping with the enemy or are you living for GOD?

Quick somebody call 911. 911 what's your emergency. (caller)~> I'm calling to report a rash of identity thefts. (911)~> maam tell me what's going on. (caller)~> there's an outbreak of men sleeping with men & women sleeping with women. (911)~> umm maam, this line is for emergencies only. (caller)~> this an emergency. How can the world population grow if men are sleeping with men and women are sleeping with women. GOD blessed Adam with Eve to grow the earth population. (911)~> well maam the police can't do nothing about that. I will say this. Call on JESUS and HE will work it out. (caller)~> but I don't know JESUS phone number. (911)~> maam it's called prayer. (caller)~> awww ok, lol, I get it, thanks, sir and GOD bless. satan is busy y'all. he's stealing the identities of the people. Even GOD's people. No need to call 911 they can't do a dang gone thang about it. Only GOD can. satan is busy confusing the minds of men and women. Like whoa he's attacking them young, stealing their manhood/womanhood.

Homosexuality is a sin, a sin is a sin. All sins have equal consequences (death). Homosexuality is a lusting/sexual sin. Like any other sin a person can be delivered from those desires. GOD love all HIS people. Even the one's whose identity has been stolen. But HE hate the detestable sin. GOD created Eve to be Adam's help mate. Their purpose was to populate the earth. Adam/Adam or Eve/Eve can't produce offsprings. The world population will die off if this continues. GOD does not honor same sex unions. I'm not going to disgrace the word marriage by calling it that. We as a society have become comfortable with men kissing men on television and women humping on women on television. Just last Sunday one of my favorite tv show was on (Degrassi the next generation). This show is about teenagers in high school. For the last couple of episodes they've been showing homosexual scenes. I'm thinking ok, this show is for teen audience, they are not mature adults.

I understand our teens are faced with such a crisis and peer pressure and satan theftery. Anyway I'm here to tell y'all it's not too late to repair your souls. GOD is in the renewing, restoring and restoration business. satan may have stolen some manhood/womanhood identities from our people but JESUS is here to snatch it back. satan will be sentence to the fiery depths of hell forever for his thefery. But don't let your soul be sent there. What you do here on earth has a big impact on your eternal soul. You think you getting away with satisfying your flesh now but think eternal. Allow GOD to lead your life. Live for CHRIST not the flesh. Let not your surrounding influence your soul sending you to hell. Let's pray and get it together people. Remember GOD love you not your sin. Especially if you claim to be a follower of GOD. GOD will deliver you and give you back your identity if you are willing to take it back. Peace and love.

Proverbs 18:22 says He who finds a wife finds a good thing & obtains favor from the LORD. That happens to be one of my favorite verses in the bible. But I hadn't understood what it meant until recently. The more I get closer to GOD and study HIS WORD the clearer the message become. Proverbs 18:22 is clearly saying the man who finds a woman & marries her finds favor with the LORD. That man is doing good in the sight of the LORD. Therefore GOD will diligently reward that man. It does not say She who finds a husband finds a good thing & obtains favor from the LORD. I believe that's where a lot of women go wrong in relationships. I admit I too was one of those women. But thank GOD for wisdom, knowledge & understanding. I'm not trying to rain on nobody's parade or side with men but I must speak what I observe and feel is the truth. I'm guessing but I bet a lot of marriages are forced on men for various reason. Or she may have nagged her baby daddy ear off. Marry me or else!

This is sorta off the subject of Ring Me but I had to throw it in. A lot of marriages are based on lusting sexual motives. I'll leave that for a future note. If only we as humans would put our trust in GOD. Allow HIM to prepare a mate for us we would see less divorces. Less martial problems. I patiently wait for my mate. I know the rewards will be grand. HE will be GOD sent. Our love will be built on a solid rock. The rock of GOD. I ain't forcing NO man to marry me. Proverbs 31:10 says Who can find a virtous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. dIAMond is a virtous woman. As GOD prepares me HE continues to give me the qualities of a wife. For the introduction to my husband.

Blessed you are to have me in your life. Blessed I AM for you to be in my life. I just enjoy life for what it has to offer. I always think about the people GOD places in our life. Whether the turn out is good or not that person made an impact on us in some sort of way. You win some and you lose some. I heard a lot of people saying when the new year arrive they were going to rid their life of some people. I thank GOD for all who have entered my life. Thank GOD I didn't have to make a decision like that going out of 2008 entering 2009. I thank GOD for blessing me. HE chose me for HIS purpose. HE continues each day. HE wants me to be a blessing to those who need to hear HIS WORD. I feel blessed to have such wonderful people in my life that agrees on the WORD of GOD. I feel @ peace & the energy of love. Sometimes satan tries to creep in cracks and crevices to wreak havoc. I just call on GOD & HE puts satan back in his place. I AM GOD's anointed. Blessed you are to have me in your life.

Family is one of GOD's given gift to each individual. We each are blessed with a set of parents. Whether they choose to stick around or not. Without mother's womb/birth canal and what some call sperm donors (fathers) we would not be breathing today. We gotta love our parents. We gotta love our grans as well because they made it possible too. For one reason or another some people choose abortion ending the life of an individual that could've or would've been. Praise GOD for life health and strength. Praise GOD for those annoying siblings we had to grow up with. Fighting trying to get our parents attention. Fighting over who gets to sit in the front seat of the car. Fighting over who's turn to wash the dishes (my household we all hated washing the pots & pans). As you grow older the fights turn into everlasting love. Praise GOD for step parents and half siblings. They deserve full time love as well. Praise GOD for our extended family aunts, uncles, cuzo's. We owe it all to our ancestors.

Genesis 22:1 - 14
Jehovah - Jireh "The LORD will Provide" Gen. 22 v1-14.esp. V14

In this story we see Abraham's faith developing by means of a great test. The intervention of God in the provision of a ram for the offering is a foreshadowing of the sacrifice of Jesus. Where Abraham's son was spared, God's son was not. At the cross God has seen to our greatest need and will therefore also see to our lesser needs. Rom. 8v32 "He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all-how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?"

The ram's horns on the banner are a reminder of the gracious provision of God to Abraham in Gen. 22:13 when he came to sacrifice Isaac.

Jehovah -Rapha "The LORD Heals" Ex. 15 v22-27

The Lord makes bitter water sweet and announces that He intends to be the health and wholeness of Israel's life upon certain conditions. God heals the wounds of discouragement in our lives and reaches out to us in the physical and spiritual healing of nations and individuals.

The banner reflects the story of Exodus15:25 where Moses threw a stick into the bitter waters of Marah and they became sweet. There is a hint of a tree behind the stick which links to Rev 22:2 where the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. This is also taken up in the leaves lying beside the pool.

Jehovah - Nissi "The LORD our Banner." Ex. 17 v8-16 esp. v15

There is always conflict/warfare in the life of believers and dependence upon God is the way to victory. A nissi was apparently an ensign carried into battle, hence a banner/rallying point. The rod/staff of Moses was indeed a rallying point and can perhaps be linked with the prophesies of Isa. 11, which find their ultimate fulfilment in Jesus. Isa. 11v1 "A shoot [rod AV] will come up from the stump of Jesse; from His roots a Branch will bear fruit. Isa. 11v10 "In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to Him, and His place of rest will be glorious."

The banner portrays the altar Moses built after the defeat of the Amalekites (Exodus 17:15) and the idea of a banner as a battle standard.

Jehovah - Shammah "The LORD is Present" Eze. 48:35.

Ezekiel who prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple now prophesies restoration. The Lord's glory would fill anew a glorious city and temple. The pledge is the name Jehovah Shammah. This is a reminder to us of the reality of God's presence with his people past and present. And of course the ultimate fulfilment is in Jesus [Immanuel-God with us] and in His church [a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.] Mat. 1v23 "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son,and they will call him Immanuel"---Which means, "God with us." Eph. 2v22."And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit."

The banner interprets Ezekiel's vision of the new city and the temple given in Ezekiel 40 - 43, with the glory of the Lord at its centre (43:4-5). At the bottom is the water flowing from the threshold of the temple (47:1), which becomes the great river symbolised by the fish (9-10). The leaf represents the fruit trees along its banks for healing (v12).

Jehovah Shalom "The LORD is Peace" Judges 6:24

In a time of apostasy Gideon was visited by the Angel of the Lord who brought a promise of deliverance from Midian. Gideon's response was to build an altar, which in faith he called " Jehovah Shalom". This was a confident anticipation of the victory that would lead to peace. The peace of God ministers to us today in times of instability and restlessness. The original context of Gideon's offering reminds us of the peace spoken of in the NT which comes through faith in Jesus and His offering of Himself on the cross for our sins.

The banner portrays Gideon' sacrifice on the rock which the angel of the Lord set on fire (Judges 6:24), with the thought of peace being offered on the basis of sacrifice.

Jehovah - Tsidkenu "The LORD our Righteousness" Jer. 23 v5-6

In spite of the captivity which had resulted in part from a failure in kingship, Jeremiah recognised that God's promise of an everlasting throne still had validity. He predicted a remnant would return. Jer 23v3 "I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number."

There would be the raising up of a righteous Branch, and a king to do what is just and right [23v5]. His name would be Jehovah Tsidkenu. All that Judah's kings should have been as representatives of Jehovah this king would be. In a society that has lost it's way we need to hold high the Lord's standard of righteousness and also speak of the wonderful provision of personal righteousness in the Lord Jesus.

The banner portrays a tree stump with a new branch sprouting from it (Jeremiah 23:5). The top of the branch becomes a crown for the King of Righteousness, but it is a crown of thorns. The other smaller shoots from the trunk hint at the restoration of Judah and Israel (v6).

Jehovah - Saboaoth "The LORD of Hosts" 1 Sam. 1:3

The lettering of this banner attempts to communicate power and threat in terms of demonic struggle. Some of the letters are made of Roman nails to reflect Jesus struggle and victory on the cross. The colour is purple to represent kingship and victory.

As the Lord of Hosts, God is able to bring together all of the powers of heaven and earth to fulfil His purposes. The Lord of hosts is the lord in manifestation of power thus NIV translates " Lord Almighty."[Isa. 14v24-27, 1 kings 19v14 etc.] God has mighty forces at His command. The name inspires a new confidence in Him. [Josh. 5v13-15 and 2 kings 6v13-17 are helpful. -cf. NT refs Rom. 9v29, James 5v4.] All that Jehovah Sabaoth was in the OT Jesus is in the NT. He is the lord of powers, victorious over Satan, demons and death.

The banner tries to communicate power and demonic struggle. Some of the letters are formed from Roman nails to reflect Jesus struggle and victory on the cross. 'Sabaoth' is in purple to represent kingship and victory.

Jehovah - M'Keddesh "The LORD your Sanctifier" Ex. 31 v13

In the banner for this Name colour is all-important. The black representing sin is torn away to reveal the white representing holiness and purity. The centre is 'holy, holy, holy' representing the holy of holies and the red speaks to us of sacrifice.

In Exodus and Leviticus we are presented with the demands of a holy God.The term sanctify means to set apart, to separate. Jehovah M'Kaddesh expresses the Character of Jehovah and His requirements for his people. Awareness of His holiness authenticates and enriches every aspect of our Christian experience. Purity leads to power. What Jehovah was in the OT Jesus is in NT. [Without sin etc.] What Israel was to be nationally we are to be as a church. We are to be set apart, holy in our position and in our practice.

In the banner the blackness of sin is torn away to reveal holiness and purity within. At the centre is the red of sacrifice and a reminder of the holiness of God.

Jehovah - Ro'eh "The LORD my Shepherd" Psa. 23:1.

The banner for Jehovah Ro'eh is a very literal interpretation of Ps. 23, which picks up through its images the shepherd's care in terms of feeding/ tending/ caring. On a green background of pasture, the valley of the shadow of death intrudes, but it is guarded by the rod and staff portrayed in the form of the cross. At the bottom is the still water and in between the full cup, the table and the anointing of oil.

What is grace?

Grace in mentioned 170 times in the Bible. Consider some of the ways it can be defined:

Grace is God's unmerited favor. That is, grace is God doing good for us that we do not deserve. In the Bible, grace and mercy are like two heads of the same coin. Mercy is God withholding judgment or evil that I deserve; grace is God giving me blessing or good that I do not deserve. Because of God's mercy, I do not receive the judgment of God against my sins; because of God's grace, I receive eternal life and a promise of heaven though I do not deserve them. Both mercy and grace come to me though the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace can also be defined as God's sufficiency or God's fullness in the life of the believer. God told Paul, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). That is, the grace of God in Paul enabled him and empowered him in his weakness. Another verse states, "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8). God's grace working in us supplies the sufficiency whereby we may abound to every good work. I like to call grace "God's enoughness." By this I mean that God is enough for us no matter what the situation we face.

This being the case, you can see that grace is first of all necessary for salvation. Ephesians 2:8 states, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." One aspect of salvation is called justification. That is the act by which we are declared just (righteous) before God on the basis of the payment Jesus Christ made for our sin. The Bible clearly teaches that we are justified by the grace of God (Romans 3:24; Titus 3:7).
But not only are we saved by the grace of God--we also serve the Lord and live the Christian life by the grace of God. The letters of Paul always speak of a blessing of grace for the believers (along with peace). Just for an example, Romans 1:7 states, "Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ." Paul is speaking to believers who are already saved and on their way to heaven, but he also recognizes that they need grace for living the Christian life. They need God's strength and sufficiency.

A good verse to help explain this grace by which we live is 1 Corinthians 15:10 where Paul testified, "But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me." It was God's grace that made him what he was. It was God's goodness working in him that made him the great servant of God he was.

So, obviously, we also need the grace of God. We need it first of all for salvation. Without the grace of God, we cannot have eternal life. However, we also need the grace of God for our daily walk with God. We are weak and prone to stray. Jesus told us that we can do nothing without Him (John 15:5). But God provides daily strength through His grace working in us. We should seek this grace for living from him. Then, we should believe that He will provide what He has promised and walk with assurance that His grace is working in us.

Borrowed from Learning the Bible
